Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign and Omnimovement detailed

The new game’s campaign will take place in the early 1990s during the days of the Gulf War. It will be a direct sequel to the 1986 flashback sequences of Black Ops 2 and feature the return of characters like Woods and Adler. The missions will be open, allowing players to choose their paths, such as guns blazing or stealth. The Manor will act as a hub location between missions to gather intel and talk to various key characters.

A huge new feature in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign and other modes is the Omnimovement system. It will let players dive, sprint, and jump in any direction smoothly without any awkward or slow animations. There are also new assist setting features that allow the player to automate movements like mantling, sliding through open paths, and more.

What do we know about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies so far?

One of the major parts of the new title is the return of the Prestige System. The entire system will be available on day one. There are 10 different Prestige levels for players to get through, each with their own rewards.

Theater Mode is also returning, letting players record and view prior matches anytime they want. The game will launch with 16 multiplayer maps, including 12 core six-on-six multiplayer maps and four additional Strike maps. These maps will generally feature the classic Treyarch three-lane setup with a competitive focus in mind.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies will pick up right where the Dark Aether storyline left off in Modern Warfare 3. It will feature the return of traditional round-based Zombies, as opposed to the more open-world format from recent games.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 25, 2024.
