Another Evercade cartridge filled with retro games is in development. This time, it is paying tribute to a company known for unlicensed games that appeared on unconventional NES and Genesis cartridges. An Evercade Codemasters Collection 1 cart will appear in 2021 and give people a way to play 17 of these older releases. 16 actually appeared back in the day, while the final one is the unreleased prototype of Tennis All-Stars.

And here’s a trailer teasing the Evercade Codemasters Collection 1. It shows quick gameplay clips from all of the games in the collection, in case you’re having trouble connecting the names with the games you might remember.

What’s also fun is a piece of nostalgia shared alongside the announcement. Tennis All-Stars never released as-is, but marketing materials were made for it. So there’s an ad showing how it, with its unique J-Cart that added third and fourth player controller ports, would have been hyped up. (The eventual Pete Sampras Tennis cartridge that did release also shipped on a similar J-Cart.)
