MSI has opened a global sweepstake for an Evangelion-themed PC. This campaign will run for a whole month and close on June 12, 2022. The company will then give away the PC set containing Evangelion-marked parts to one lucky winner. Contestants worldwide will have to follow MSI’s social media accounts to improve their chances of winning the PC.
Four of the parts included in this PC will have a color scheme based on Shinji Ikari’s Evangelion Unit-01. They will consist of a MAG B660 Tomahawk motherboard, a MAG Coreliquid C240 all-in-one cooler, a MAG A650BN power supply unit, and an MPG Gungnir 110R case. The full PC set in the sweepstake will also include an Intel Core i5-12600K processor and a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. MSI will also sell the Evangelion-themed parts individually outside of the sweepstake.
The Evangelion MSI partnership is the latest in a series of collaborations between PC part manufacturers and Japanese sub-culture franchises. In early 2021, ASUS worked with Bandai Namco and Sunrise to release Gundam-themed LAN routers and PC parts. In late 2021, Elsa Japan sold PC models adorned with the Hololive VTuber Houshou Marine.
The latest Evangelion movie, Evangelion 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time, is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
