The “Evangelion Tokyo Skytree (R) Project” collaboration event will occur from December 23, 2020, to March 31, 2021. The event coincides with the upcoming film, Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time (Shin Evangelion Gekijoban𝄇), which will release in Japan on January 23, 2021.

Like past events, the Evangelion event will be held in the upper observatory 450 m high (approximately 1,480 ft). In addition to exhibitions that show off Evangelion’s world, there will be photo spots for guests to take pictures. An original photo service that puts you next to the movie characters will be available as well. The event will also have limited-time original goods and an original cafe menu.

During the Final Fantasy VII Remake “Skytree in Midgar” event, there were sections based on the Square Enix RPG. It featured character cutouts, a gallery that stretched 110 meters, and video made exclusively for the event. There was even a life-sized replica of Cloud’s Buster Sword. You can read more about the Final Fantasy VII Remake event here.

While the FFVII Remake event had to temporarily close down amid Coronavirus concerns, business resumed after a couple of weeks. The official website will have more info on the Evangelion Tokyo Skytree (R) Project later.
