The Echochrome mysteries keep coming, but I this may explain why Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Echochrome page lists a 310MB save file. Unlike North America, Europe is getting a retail, UMD version of Echochrome with 228 puzzles on the disc. This number is over double the amount of stages on the Japanese/Asian version so it’s a fair guess that the downloadable stages Sony is rolling out for the PlayStation 3 version will be included as part of Europe's UMD disc.
On top of Echochrome, PEGI, the Pan-European ESRB equivalent, rated Echochrome Micro for ages 3 and up. What’s interesting about this listing is it says in parentheses “downloadable from PSP Store”, which strongly suggests this is going to be a downloadable version of Echochrome. Perhaps this will be the version Sony Computer Entertainment America released earlier this month. We’ll find out for sure when Echochrome actually comes out in Europe in July.
