A Steam Greenlight campaign has begun to gauge interest on an English version of Schwarzesmarken – Kouketsu no Monshou, a Muv-Luv alternative spinoff light novel that has players battling aliens in an alternate timeline of East Germany in the 1980’s.
Irisdina Bernhard is commander of the Black Marks, a specialized unit that uses advanced technology and huge mechs to fight alien threats. The extraterrestrial beings are looking to steal Earth’s resources, but the commander’s cold demeanor has earned her some enemies at home as well as from space.
A demo for the game is forthcoming, and should it and the campaign do well, the developers will push to translate the game. An anime adaptation of the game’s story is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
