Emilie had appeared earlier in Genshin Impact during the Roses and Muskets event. According to text from the game, Emilie is a self-employed perfumer whose work is very popular with the fashionable ladies of Fontaine. Her perfumes seem to focus on fresh, floral, and fruity scents. In her introduction post, Neuvillette expresses awe at the idea of using “fragrance in liquid form” to regulate mood.

Due to the usual timing of when HoYoVerse shows its drip marketing for characters, we can expect Emilie to come out some time in Version 4.8. Though we don’t know much about her yet, fans are already making their opinions known online. Even in the direct replies of HoYoVerse’s Tweet, we can see a wide variety of people loving her design and saying it’s unique. Then, there are people saying the outfit looks fanmade or calling her ugly.

Some other fans are comparing our final look to concept art from HoYoVerse. While everyone can have their own opinion on the design, it’s important to remember that some concept art of Genshin Impact characters are leaks. Concept art also wildly differs from the final product. It’s not unusual for a character or work to be vastly different from the pre-production stages.

Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
