You can watch the trailer here:

At first, it starts with introducing the three main characters: Nowa, Seign, and Marisa. On their journeys, they can meet a total of a hundred unique heroes. Some of the ones that the trailer introduces include Hildi, Yuferius VII, and Mio. You can level up the characters’ relationship with each other to unlock new skills and moves to use in combat.

The trailer also gives an idea of the setting that you’ll be playing in. Aside from the normal turn-based combat, there is also War Mode, which plays similar to Fire Emblem. You can rest in town and play mini-games when you’re not fighting or exploring.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes uses pixel sprites in a 3D environment reminiscent of older games. Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of the Suikoden series, is the director and producer. This could be why there are so many similarities in both the aesthetic and gameplay between the two games.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC on April 23, 2024.
