Pencil Test Studios has announced that its claymation adventure game Armikrog will be out for Windows, Mac, and Linux on August 18th. It was previously announced for PlayStation 4 too and the game’s successful Kickstarter promised a Wii U version but there are no updates on those versions at the moment.

The Standard Edition of Armikrog will sell for $24.99 while a Deluxe Edition that includes the game’s full soundtrack by the song writer and producer Terry Scott Taylor will be sold for $29.99. Those who pre-order will be given a 10 percent discount. The exception is, of course, those who backed Armikrog on Kickstarter back in June 2013 who were able to secure their copies of the game at an even cheaper price.

If you’re not familiar, Armikrog is a spiritual successor to claymation games The Neverhood and Skullmonkeys and is made by the same people. One of those is Doug TenNapel, who is known primarily as the creator of Earthworm Jim, but also lent his original designs to these claymation games.

Armikrog is meant to be a humorous adventure that follows the space explorer Tommynaut and his alien dog friend Beak Beak. During one of their adventures around the space the duo end up getting imprisoned in a mysterious fortress and must plot their escape. You can find out more about the game on its website.
