Miiverse, Nintendo’s social network for gamers that own Nintendo devices, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in December, and a few early details as to what the 3DS version will allow you to are available now.

Like the Wii U version, the 3DS version of Miiverse will allow you to share handwritten messages and drawings with other Miiverse users. Additionally, you’ll also be able to grab and share screenshots of games that support the screenshot feature. Finally, like on Wii U, the 3DS version of Miiverse will allow one to mark posts as spoilers with hidden text.

Once Miiverse is added to the 3DS, you’ll be able to access it from the top row of the Nintendo 3DS touch screen. Since Miiverse is an OS-level app, you will be able to access it while playing games.

Nintendo also say you’ll be able to create Miiverse posts while you aren’t connected to the Internet, and share them once you get online.

In order to use Miiverse on 3DS, you’ll require a Nintendo Network ID. Parents will want to note that you can block children’s access to Miiverse entirely, or if you prefer, restrict Miiverse features, allowing content to be read but not posted.
