EA buys BioWare, Mass Effect still on track

mae.jpgElectronic Arts struck a deal with Elevation Partners to purchase Pandemic Studios who is developing Mercenaries 2: World in Flames for EA and BioWare. Microsoft assures the public that the purchase won’t knock back Mass Effect’s November 20th release date and the game is still going to be an Xbox 360 exclusive. However, BioWare owns the intellectual property rights for Mass Effect, which certainly leaves the door open for spin-offs or sequels on other consoles.
