You’ll need iOS 6.0 or above to play the game. Supported devices include: , iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, , iPad (3rd and 4th Generation), iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display.

Square Enix say that iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and iPad mini are also supported, but that “after extended play on these devices, some instability may occur, and the app may occasionally freeze or crash.”

Square say the issue on these devices can be dealt with by saving often and completely closing the app when suspending play. They also add that “frequent crashes can sometimes be remedied by restarting your device.”

We’ll update when Square Enix officially announce Dragon Quest VIII for iOS for North America and reveal how much the game will cost.
