The free Switch demo for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is now available to download from the Nintendo eShop worldwide. During the Japanese stream of the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, it was announced that The Dark Prince would be receiving a demo for players to try out ahead of its December 2023 release. People who play the demo will be able to transfer their save data over to the full version of The Dark Prince. The demo allows players to experience the early story of the game and explore various areas, capture monsters, and build their party to take on even more difficult monsters.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is the latest game in the Monsters series following the dark prince Psaro and his quest to become the Master of Monsterkind. He is joined by his friends Rose, Toilen Trubble, and Fizzy as they travel the world to recruit and train monsters, and as they travel they uncover an epic adventure awaiting them.
The new teaser from the latest Nintendo Direct showed off various monsters and familiar faces from the Dragon Quest franchise. It can be viewed below:
Back in July 2023, the English voice cast was revealed for the upcoming game as well as its paid launch DLC. The Japanese voice cast was also revealed in August.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will release worldwide on Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2023, and the demo is live.
