Less than a year after its original release, Dragon Quest IX will be reprinted and sold at a reduced price when it joins Square Enix’s Ultimate Hits collection.

Ultimate Hits versions of Dragon Quest IX, Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen and Final Fantasy IV with a gray stripe on the box art are scheduled for March 4. At launch, Dragon Quest IX retailed for 5980 yen ($65). The Ultimate Hits version is only 2,940 yen ($32).
Square Enix already shipped over four million copies of Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies in Japan. I wonder how many more copies the Ultimate Hits re-release will be able to move.
