Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Tact as a new tactical RPG for smartphones in Japan in 2020. The company also launched its official website and Twitter account.

Dragon Quest Tact is a tactical RPG where you command familiar monsters from the series.
As for combat, the game features turn-based command battle elements you’d expect from Dragon Quest.
You’ll get to see 3D monsters fight on top of the map with a grid for all the action.
Lastly, the staff includes Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii as its General Director. Akira Toriyama as Monster Designer, and Koichi Sugiyama as the composer. It is developed by Aiming and produced by Square Enix.
Dragon Quest Tact releases for iOS and Android in Japan in 2020. The game is a free-to-play title with micro-transactions.
