Toei Animation announced that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will release in Japan on June 11, 2022. The film was originally slated for an April 2022 release but was delayed due to a hacking incident that took place in March 2022. Additionally, consumers within Japan can pre-purchase tickets for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Those who already purchased tickets for the April 2022 screening can still use those tickets to see the film when it releases on June 11, 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has received several pieces of promotional artwork and a trailer leading up to the release of the film. These have included key artwork featuring Piccolo and Gohan. Additionally, the film will see the inclusion of entirely new characters. These include members of the Red Ribbon Army faction.

The film has also been confirmed for a North American release. However, while it is expected to appear sometime in Summer 2022, a concrete release date has not been announced. The special promotional artwork confirming the release features Android 18, Krillin, and Bulma. Additionally, Goten and Trunks are shown in the image performing the Fusion Dance.
