Dragalia Lost director Hiroki Matsuura recently appeared at the 2018 Comic Exhibition in Taiwan to promote and reveal more about the game during a stage event. [Thanks, Bahamut!]
Here are the highlights:
- Matsuura reveals that in order to transform into a dragon by borrowing a pact dragon’s power, the Prince needs to first defeat the dragons in battle in order to earn their crystal pact stone. When you enter the Dragon state, you are near invincible, and it feels very powerful.
- Dragalia Lost currently is expected to launch first in Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan first, and the game will share servers between the regions. There is no in-game chat, but you can communicate using emoticons.
- Matsuura states that even if the protagonist feels powerful, he’s just the seventh prince in the family, and has many older brothers and sisters who are stronger than him. He revealed some of the main character’s siblings, but the fifth prince is still a secret.
- Matsuura says that being able to transform into dragons and use various powerful moves is one of the main reasons players should give the game a try when it comes out.
Dragalia Lost is currently in development for Apple iOS and Android devices. The game is expected to launch in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau in Summer 2018, and it’ll also release sometime after in North America and Europe.
