Don’t Expect To See The PS2 Wild Arms Games On PlayStation Network For PS3

Recommended Videos

Over on Xseed Games’ Facebook page, a fan asked if there was a chance one could see the Wild Arms series—in particular Wild Arms 4 or 5—released via the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3.

In response, an Xseed representative explained that, unfortunately, the games in question are incapable of being emulated on PS3, for some reason.

“We would love to see [the series] posted up there too,” Xseed replied, “but it appears there’s something with the coding that’s preventing it from being compatible with PS3’s via the necessary emulation that other PS2 titles that are up on PSN are using.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of certain games being incompatible with the PlayStation 3’s PS2 emulator. In the past, U.K. publisher Ghostlight have reported problems with getting the Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga games to run on the PS3 emulator as well.
