However, there are some things players can do to make their time in Black Myth Wukong just a bit easier. First, players can craft gear as they progress through the game. This is done at a shrine, and schematics for gear will unlock through natural progression. This might not sound super helpful, but even incremental upgrades will help a lot. Especially since some gear has unique effects like reducing the amount of stamina consumed moving through water, and so forth.

Another avenue to make the game just a touch easier, is to upgrade your health. As you confront more challenging foes and take out optional mini-bosses on your journey as the Destined One, you will accumulate skill points. These can be spent on various skills, such as unlocking and upgrading attacks, and increasing your total health. If you feel as though you’re struggling in that regard, allocate those skill points accordingly.

Additionally, you can upgrade your gourd to increase the amount of healing received, or even infuse your brew with supplementary effects. This can include making you more poison resistant for a short period of time, or even regenerating a small bit of health after healing.

Ultimately, Black Myth Wukong will be difficult for players unaccustomed to Action RPGs. You’ll just need to observe your enemies and know when to strike, and make the most of your tools (such as spells) to overcome the challenges this game will set in your way.
