Cave have a secret unlockable hidden away in Dodonpachi Resurrection for the iPhone. If you’re willing to put the effort in, you can unlock and play as the game’s secret boss, Hibachi (aka ]-[|/34<#!). Unlocking Hibachi can be done in two ways:
A. Destroy him at the end of the Hidden 2nd loop, and you’ll find him on the ship select screen after that.
B. At the ship select screen, move the cursor in the following pattern: TYPE-A > TYPE-B > TYPE-C > TYPE-A > TYPE-B > TYPE-C > TYPE-B > TYPE-C > TYPE-A > TYPE-B > TYPE-C > TYPE-A > TYPE-C > TYPE-A > TYPE-B > TYPE-C > TYPE-A > TYPE-B
Keep in mind that A. is the only way to unlock Hibachi permanently. If you opt to use B., you’re going to have to use it each time you want to play as Hibachi.
Additionally, Cave also announced that both Espgaluda II and Dodonpachi Resurrection on the iPhone are now compatible with Game Center. Achievements from Open Feint will be carried over so you don’t lose your progress.
