Who is Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas?

Jack Skellington is the lead character of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, a stop-animated film released by Disney in 1993. He is a living skeleton living in Halloween Town, a fantasy world based on the holiday it is named after. Within this world, Jack is the “Pumpkin King” and master of ceremonies, making him extremely popular among the townsfolk.

He guides the people of Halloween Town in celebrating the spooky season every year. However, when he learns about Christmas in Christmas Town, he becomes obsessed with the idea of spreading Christmas cheer to his people and the entire world, albeit in his own spooky way.

How to Start the “Something Comes A’Knocking” Quest?

To obtain Jack Skellington in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players must first trigger the “Something Comes A’Knocking” quest. The quest can only be activated after players complete the main story quest, “Forgotten Memories Return.” Once the main story is completed up to “Forgotten Memories Return,” there are two ways to activate “Something Comes A’Knocking.”

The first method is to speak to Merlin. By speaking to the wizard, he will inform the player that strange dolls have appeared around the Valley. This will activate the Jack Skellingston quest. The second method is to find one of the four Matryoshka Dolls yourself that have spawned randomly across the Valley. This will also activate the quest that leads to the Pumpkin King.

How to Obtain Jack Skellington in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The steps for obtaining Jack Skellington are rather easy once the quest is activated, although it may require some running around. Players must obtain all four Matryoshka Dolls, which can spawn randomly in any location within the Valley. However, we have created a guide to assist with finding the four Matryoshka Dolls.

Once you have found the four Matryoshka Dolls, you will need to insert them into a mysterious tree with a pumpkin carved into it that spawns in the Forgotten Lands. Players can find the tree not too far from Fairy Godmother’s pumpkin house.

When you interact with the tree, the game will allow you to insert the four Matryoshka Dolls one by one. Each time a doll is inserted, the tree will gain new characteristics, like bundles of candy and presents appearing at the base of it. The pumpkin carving on the trunk will also start lighting up orange. After the fourth doll is inserted, the orange pumpkin will pop open on the tree.

Jack Skellington will now enter the Valley! After taking as many celebratory photos with the Pumpkin King, you will still need to place his house somewhere in your town. I personally placed him in the Forgotten Lands next to his tree, but he can be moved in anywhere as long as there is enough space.

Once players pay Scrooge McDuck 5000 coins, Jack Skellington’s house will be built, and “Something Comes A’Knocking” will be complete!
