The Disgaea RPG Madoka Magica event brings five new playable magical girls to the game’s roster. All are from the first two entries in the Madoka Magica movie trilogy, which act as a feature film adaptation of the original TV anime series. The characters are Madoka Kaname, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Homura Akemi, and Mami Tomoe. The five girls visit the world of Disgaea while they hunt down an unusual Kyubey. Meanwhile, Kyubey itself appears in front of the Disgaea RPG character Pure Sicily, with an offer she won’t want to refuse.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica first aired in 2011. It focuses on a group of middle-school girls contacted by the mysterious creature Kyubey. Kyubey offers them a chance to become magical girls to battle supernatural witches. The girls soon learn that being a magical girl is a much more fraught experience than advertised.

Besides adding magical girls to the gacha banner, the Disgaea RPG x Madoka Magica event brings some new gameplay. Players can team up to take on the Prinny x Kyubey raid boss, or challenge a daily Special Battle quest.

Disgaea RPG is available on mobile platforms and PC. The game also received characters from the Re:Zero series back in March 2022.
