Disgaea 5 Complete Switch Game Trial Begins September 23, 2020

A new Nintendo Switch Online game trial showed up during the September 2020 Nintendo Direct Mini. Appropriately enough, it celebrates the Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny announcement. A Disgaea 5 Complete Game Trial will begin on September 23, 2020.

For those new to the concept, here’s a how Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial works. As long as someone is an active member, they can go to the eShop and download a full digital copy of the game to play for the duration of the trial period. Your save date is the same as a normal version, so you could then buy the game after the phase ends and continue where you left off if you didn’t finish.

Participating games cycle in and out fairly often, and there are plenty of big names. In 2020, we’ve seen Celeste offered as a game trial in Japan and Pokken Tournament DX in places like North America. This is the first time a Disgaea game trial has been offered through the program.

The Disgaea 5 Complete Game Trial will run September 23-29, 2020. Disgaea 5 Complete is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC worldwide, though the PC version lacks map editing and the Netherworld Network.
