Diona and Noelle Lead New Genshin Impact Hangout Events

Genshin Impact Hangout

One of the highlights of the Genshin Impact Windblume Festival event wasn’t technically part of the event itself, but rather the content patched in alongside it. Hangout events ended up being a character-focused way for players to spend some time with the game’s growing array of personalities, as well as a break from the more linear style of quest design. Many players wished for more, and that wish will be granted once the Genshin Impact 1.5 update launches. In addition to new enemies, new characters, and new housing, the Beneath the Light of Jadeite update will also launch two new hangout events.

The first new Genshin Impact event is a continuation of Noelle’s hangout chain. Unlocking it will require completion of Chapter I: Act III in the main storyline as well as achieving all the endings in her first hangout. The second hangout is new, and stars Diona, the prohibitionist catgirl who happens to tend bar in Mondstadt’s Cat’s Tail Tavern. The only requirement to spend some time with Diona is to be of Adventurer Rank 26 and completing Act III of the prologue. Both events still need unlocking using Story Keys, which are earned for every eight daily commission completions.

Though Genshin Impact hangout events don’t actually require players to own the character in question, Diona fans are in luck. The upcoming Energy Amplifier Initiation event will give everyone a chance to nab the petite Cryo archer for free.

Genshin Impact‘s new hangout events go live along with the 1.5 Beneath the Light of Jadeite update, which itself launches on April 28, 2021. The game itself is immediately available on PS4, PC, Android, and iOS. The PS5 edition will also launch alongside 1.5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
