Vocaloids are going places. In addition to having their own software, videogames, concerts, and merchandise, they now have an academic course featuring them, titled “Hatsune Miku, Loves Creator”.

Digital Hollywood, a school based in Tokyo that offers programs in digital media and information technology, have announced that they’re going to hold this six-month course on CG animation and music video production using the Vocaloid software and associated characters, along with Autodesk’s Maya modelling and animation software.

The course is capped at 30 students, and will kick off on September 25th. Training sessions will be held twice a week for three hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. Occasionally, there will be a three-hour lecture conducted on Wednesdays as well.
