When a cruel king ruled the land, four arbiters came and broke his control over the kingdom. Now, years later, when political and religious strife threatens the land with war, four more heroes will appear, but something strange seems to be influencing their actions in dungeon-crawler/visual novel Devious.
Players can choose from four different heroes, each with their own fighting style and abilities, to battle monsters in live action segments, using swords, bows, fists, and more against their enemies in real time. When not in combat, players will have the story unveiled in visual novel segments.
Players who are only interested in the story or the combat can also opt to shut off the story or combat as they choose, playing the game they wish to try depending on their mood. Each character offers a different look at the game’s story as well, offering many different ways to experience Devious.
