The Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition launch trailer is here and, well, it’s a big one. The video is actually over four and a half minutes long. Not only is it dedicated to providing teases about what people can expect from the larger role Vergil will play, such as the additional cutscenes along the lines of DMC3SE and DMC4SE that Producer Matt Walker talked about.

Much of this DMC5 Special Edition trailer will look familiar. After all, this is an updated version of the original game. So part of the video shows how much, for lack of a better word, prettier the returning campaigns and gameplay will look. The biggest additions and focuses on new elements tends to come up around the 3:50 mark, as Vergil gets to wondering what would have happened if roles had been reversed. Though even before that, we see some hints of the new elements that will appear.

Here’s the DMC5 Special Edition launch trailer. There are some segments that could spoil things for people who haven’t played any version of the game yet.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will appear on the Xbox Series X on November 10, 2020 and on the PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020. Physical copies will appear on December 1, 2020. Devil May Cry 5 is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and the Vergil DLC will appear for those versions on December 15, 2020.
