Genshin Impact, which is already pretty rich in lore and narrative, is about to get even more content in the form of a story quest for the five-star astrologer unit, Mona. The information for the upcoming event has been detailed on miHoYo’s official site for the game.

In order to unlock the new quest, which goes live on October 26, 2020 at 4:00 am (Server Time), players must achieve an Adventure Rank of 38 and complete the quest “The Darknight Hero’s Alibi,” from Noctua Chapter: Act I. Then they can use a Story Key to unlock the new Mona quest, called “Astrolabos Chapter.”

Story Keys are attained through daily commissions completed after Adventure Rank 26. After players complete eight of them, they unlock one story key, although they are limited to four daily commissions a day unless they join other players for co-operative play. That said, a portion of players have already completed the currently available story quest and have some keys to spare.

At the same time the new quest goes live, the Marvelous Merchandise event will make a return. Using hints, players will be able to track down a merchant named Liben who will reward them with a Box o’ Marvels in exchange for required materials. Players have until the event ends on November 2, 2020 to use their boxes. If they don’t the boxes will expire.

While Genshin Impact’s story is still evolving in-game, content released out of game hints at just how much there is to know about the game’s world. A recent trailer, for example, focuses on the Knights of Favonius’ Acting Grand Master, Jean, while another explored the tale of a bard named Venti. These release at a pretty rapid rate, and supplement the story already contained in game.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game available for PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS devices with an eventual release planned for the Nintendo Switch.
