Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village Sells Over 813,000 Tickets in Japan

The Demon Slayer Japanese twitter account revealed that the Japanese theatrical screening of Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village sold over 813,000 tickets. The screening ran for three days in Japan, through February 3-5, 2023, and it had an estimated box-office revenue of 1.15 billion JPY (approximately 8.6 million USD). Details on exact figures will release in the coming days.

Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village is a special theatrical showing of episodes 10 and 11 from Season 2, titled the Entertainment District Arc, along with an advance showing of the first episode of Season 3, titled the Swordsmith Village Arc. Crunchyroll also announced that there will be a world tour for this theatrical release, with showings in Berlin, Mexico City, Paris, and Los Angeles. The LA showing is scheduled for February 18, 2023. However, tickets for it are sold out at the time of writing.

Additionally, the opening theme for Season 3 of Demon Slayer was recently revealed. The theme song is titled “Kizuna no Kiseki,” and it is performed by milet and MAN WITH A MISSION (MWAM).

Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village will come to the US and Canada on March 3, 2023. Season 3 of Demon Slayer will start airing in April 2023 with a one-hour special episode as its first episode.
