The same tip detailed the expected Japanese sale price of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. The standard edition of the game will sell for ¥8,360 (about USD $77), with a digital deluxe edition going for ¥9,900 (about USD $90). A PS4-limited physical collector’s edition will go for ¥16,280 (about USD $148). The collector’s edition will include “figure stand” that allows Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenichi to hold up a controller. The pack will also include codes to unlock the Kimetsu Gakuen character variants early, as well as a costume based on the patient clothing worn at the Butterfly Mansion hospital. The pack is rounded out with PS4 themes and avatars, as well as something called “Kimetsu Points.” It’s unknown what this might refer to, be it a potential monetization component or some in-game currency for unlocking cosmetics.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will release in Japan as Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan on October 14, 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Sega will release an English localization of the game in Asia within 2021. Other regional releases are as yet unconfirmed.
