The segment on Deathsmiles I and II starts about three hours into the livestream. The three people who introduced it were Cave Composer Daisuke Matsumoto, City Connection Producer Nobuhiro Yoshikawa, and City Connection’s “Chantake.” City Connection is the game’s publisher, while Cave is the developer. After a quick introduction of the companies involved, the three showed off how Deathsmiles I and II will look on the big screen.

In September 2020, City Connection confirmed the compilation game. However, news regarding it has been scarce between then and now. Though the game is called Deathsmiles I and II, it is actually a collection of three games. Aside from the two numbered titles, Deathsmiles Megablack Label is also a part of the bundle. More information about the game has been added to the official website, such as character profiles and story synopses. Up to two players can play, which adds a possible co-operative element.

Deathsmiles I and II will come out on December 16, 2021 on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. It will be available in Japan, but there is currently no news about a worldwide release.
