Earlier on July 8, 2020, Jim Sterling noted in a video that PR said there would “be no immediate plans” to address Deadly Premonition 2 frame rate problems. (This came up at the two minute mark.) During the Deadly Premonition 2 White Owls stream was held on July 8, 2020. Hidetaka “Swery65” Suehiro commented on that issue. At the 52 minute mark, he commented and his translator, Dan, said:

So there was a question about the frame rate. Are there plans to fix it or patch it? There will not be a patch released in time for the release date tomorrow, but Swery is going to take everyone’s opinions and points into account and he’s going to fight with the producer to try to get something done at some point after the game is released.

Here’s the full Deadly Premonition 2 stream with Swery65.

Sterling also received an updated statement from PR regarding the issue and shared it on Twitter.

Update: Rising Star Games has confirmed that “patches are in the works.”

Deadly Premonition 2 will be available on July 10, 2020.
