Dead Rising 3, Ducktales, And Monster Hunter 4 Were Solid Sellers For Capcom

Xbox One launch title Dead Rising 3 broke the million mark along with the HD version of Resident Evil: Revelations. Capcom released the Nintendo 3DS game for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC last year.

DuckTales: Remastered, a remake of a Capcom developed NES game, over-performed, but specific sales numbers were not released. Originally, DuckTales: Remastered was digital only, but Capcom started selling the game in stores right before the holidays.

 

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies reached projected sales.

 

Monster Hunter 4 for Nintendo 3DS was a hit for Capcom. The game was a strong seller in seller in stores and digitally. While the latest Monster Hunter game did well, Monster Hunter Frontier G performed lower than expected for Capcom. The PC/Xbox 360 online game was ported for PlayStation 3 and Wii U last year. A Vita version is also in development. Lost Planet 3 was also below expectations and mobile games, as a whole, underperformed.

 

Compared to last fiscal year, Capcom saw a boost in operating income from amusement machine and other businesses which includes character goods and guidebooks. Overall, Capcom’s net sales increased 8.6% and Capcom booked 3,444 million yen ($33.8 million) in net income, up 15,9% compared to the previous fiscal year.
