Dead or Alive: Dimensions’ Framerate Varies With 3D Effects On Or Off

Here’s an interesting detail about Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the Nintendo 3DS — depending on whether or not you play it with the stereoscopic 3D effect turned on or off, your framerate will vary, according to Team Ninja head, Yosuke Hayashi.

Running the game in stereoscopic 3D will slow it down to 30 frames per second. Running it in 2D (aka “regular 3D”) will give you the usual 60 frames per second that you’re used to.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions isn’t releasing alongside the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in February, but a month later on March 24th. Here’s a new trailer for the game, demonstrating what the 3D effect should look like.
