Dead or Alive characters, especially the girls, love to dress up and can often be seen in other costume DLCs throughout the year. However, Halloween is when they kick it up a notch with some crazier outfits. Koei Tecmo shares a look at this year’s batch of costumes.
Earlier this summer, Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja put together a special Halloween-themed designers challenge where fans got to submit costumes for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate characters. The above trailer shows which fan-made costumes will be included in the game.
In the previous set of Halloween DLC, Zack had a pretty cool glow in the dark skeleton costume, and this year he’ll be sporting a hilarious Jack-o’-Lantern outfit. Marie’s pumpkin witch costume is also pretty fitting with the gothic lolita fighter.
While this year’s set of Halloween costumes aren’t as traditional compared to the ones seen last year, it looks like there are more Japanese-style costumes thrown in this year’s mix. It also looks like Team Ninja got a kick out of one fan’s Bass Armstrong East-meets-West costume design.
I would’ve expected Rachel to show up in some kind of fiend hunter outfit form Ninja Gaiden, but I have no complaints about her skeleton costume! Even Phase 4 is joining in on the Halloween fun.
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate’s Halloween costumes go live today in Japan for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
