By Darksiders 2 has a release date, THQ announced today. The game is scheduled for release on June 26th in North America, and depending on where you pick it up from, you’ll get access to different pre-order incentives. These aren’t just the usual additional weapons and items either. For example, Gamestop gets an exclusive quest pack.
The “Death Rides” quest pack that comes with Gamestop pre-orders will include multiple exclusive sidequests that let you further explore the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains areas. Additionally, THQ say you’ll “aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure”.
Best Buy pre-orders, on the other hand, do get just an additional item. The “Angel of Death” pack gives you a special enhanced armour with angel-inspired design, a pair of matching scythes, and a special purple trail for your crow, for the Horseman that likes to keep up his image.
Meanwhile, Amazon will get a “Deadly Despair” pack. This gives a speed boost for Death’s horse, Despair, that allows you to travel faster.
