These Dark Souls II Screenshots Are Full Of Phantoms

Just like Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls before it, Dark Souls II has friendly and unfriendly phantoms. Use a Cracked Red Eye Orb and you can invade another player’s game. The White Sign Soapstone allows other players to summon you as an ally in their world.

Dark Souls II makes message writing easier since you can just do this from the menu without the need for an Orange Guidance Soapstone. You can write a message right from the start menu. Another change is you can have up to two White Phantoms with you so three players in total working together to take out a boss like the Skeleton King.

Dark Souls II comes out on March 11 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
