The first Darius Cozmic Collection released on the Nintendo Switch in 2019 as a collection of arcade ports developed by M2. There was also a Special Edition focused around collecting the console versions of games in the series. The announcement of the sequel came alongside new trailers released for the PlayStation 4 version of Darius Cozmic Collection. That is releasing separately as Arcade Version and Consumer Version, with each focusing on arcade and console titles much like the Switch’s Normal and Limited Edition.

Check out the trailer for Arcade Edition below:

Additionally, here’s the trailer for Consumer Edition below:

Arcade Edition includes:

  • Darius (Old)
  • Darius (New)
  • Darius (Extra)
  • Darius II (2 screen ver)
  • Sagaia (V1)
  • Sagaia (V2)
  • Darius Gaiden

Consumer Edition includes (new in bold):

  • Darius II (Mega Drive)
  • Sagaia (Genesis)
  • Sagaia (Master System)

  • Darius Twin (SNES)
  • Darius Force (SFC)
  • Super Nova (SNES)
  • Darius Plus (PC-Engine)
  • Darius Alpha (PC-Engine)

The Nintendo Switch version is getting a free update that adds Super Nova and Darius Plus, to ensure content parity between the two platform versions.

Darius Cozmic Collection is now available for the PlayStation 4 in Japan and is available on Nintendo Switch. Darius Cozmic Collection 2 will release in Winter 2020. No platforms have been announced yet. Check out more info on the first collection here.
