Danganronpa Creator Kazutaka Kodaka Comments on New Game

Danganronpa series creator Kazutaka Kodaka recently talked about Too Kyo Games’ upcoming unannounced new game on X (formerly Twitter) and revealed he’s becoming “obsessed” with it. The developer also said that the announcement and release of this game are not too far away.

The new game that Kazutaka Kodaka mentioned in his post is the game that he and Kotaro Uchikoshi started working on in 2018. The original post includes hashtags for the Japanese words “Limit” and “Despair,” which are the two themes that the developers said the title will explore. The post in question was shared on Kodaka’s personal X account.

You can read the English translation of his post here:

The scenario for the game I’m currently working on is so crazy that I end up working more than doing anything else. Even when things are tough or troublesome, I put more into working and writing the scenario than I do into my free time and resting. I think this might be the first time I’ve been so obsessed with a work. I wonder if I’ll end up burnt out from this one.

In any case, the announcement and release are not too far off in the future, so I’d like for everyone to look forward to it. Well, I’m tired, so I also hope you are rooting on me.

Too Kyo Games was established in 2017 by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka, composer Masafumi Takada, and illustrator Rui Komatsuzaki, alongside Zero Escape director Kotaro Uchikoshi.

Too Kyo Games is currently developing Tribe Nine for PC and mobile devices, a video game entry in the multimedia franchise that got started with an anime series released in 2022.
