Danganronpa is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2020, which has led to a number of celebratory activities. One of them is a series of Dangan TV streams going over its development. While these are broadcast in Japan, English versions follow sometime after. Now, Spike Chunsoft has shared Dangan TV Episode 2 with English subtitles.
This time around, the focus is on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Once again, the Danganronpa series producer Yoshinori Terasawa and writer Kazutaka Kodaka have returned to answer questions and talk about their experiences. (Though now, Kodaka is with Too Kyo Games.) They’re joined by the Danganronpa 2 planner, Shun Sasaki.
Here’s Dangan TV Episode 2. If some of the content seems a little out of date, that’s because the English-subtitled version only launched on August 12, 2020, but the Japanese version appeared back on June 18, 2020.
In case you missed it, Dangan TV episode 1 was called “How I Discovered Danganronpa.” Part of it went over the original Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc’s development, while the other half went over fan’s letters.
As for actually playing Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, remember that we’re on the verge of a publisher shuffle. The PlayStation Vita version of the game will no longer be published and sold on the PlayStation Store by NIS America as of September 4, 2020. Spike Chunsoft is taking over publishing duties.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is available on the PlayStation Vita and PC worldwide. You can also find it on the PlayStation 4 worldwide in Danganronpa 1•2 Reload. In Japan, it is also available on the PlayStation Portable.
