By Namco Bandai went through their archives and greenlit a remake of Dancing Eyes for PlayStation 3. Since Dancing Eyes was only for arcades you may not have seen it. Here’s a look at the original game from 1996.
So… you play as a monkey who cuts away clothes off an idol while dodging enemies. Dancing Eyes for PlayStation 3 doesn’t stray from the concept. It’s the same game with better graphics and optional PlayStation Move controls. You can still use a Dualshock 3 controller with Dancing Eyes.
Namco announced three "models" for Dancing Eyes on the official site – Crisitia Saietta, Francoise Mystere, and Musaki Kikka who appears to be tied to Japanese voice actress who played Alicia in Valkyria Chronicles.
One other interesting note about Dancing Eyes is the game is part of the Namco Generation arcade remake series. Other Namco Generation titles include family friendly games like Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and Galaga Legions DX. Dancing Eyes’ release date is TBD.
