How to complete Cyberpunk 2077 mission “Transmission”

Note: Full spoilers lie ahead for the “Transmission” quest.

The Cyberpunk 2077 “Transmission” quest begins immediately after the conclusion of “I Walk the Line” when you speak or deal with Placide. Here is all of the steps you should follow to finish this otherwise linear mission, depending on what choice you made in the previous mission:

  • Speak with Placide or punch him in the face as retaliation.
  • Speak with Brigitte and follow her into the church in Pacifica.
  • Learn about their plans to find Alt Cunningham.
  • Enter the cyberspace and speak with Brigitte there.
  • Speak to Alt and then watch the flashbacks about her and Johnny’s relationship.
  • Play as Johnny and fight back to try and save Alt.
  • Join together with your makeshift crew and charge ahead into Arasaka Tower to save Alt.
  • Find out the truth about what happened to Johnny and Alt.
  • Leave the ice bath and speak with Brigitte. If you sided with them at the end of the last mission, you can walk out freely.
  • If you didn’t side with the Voodoo Boys in the previous mission, you’ll have to face off against some of them when you return, including a final boss fight with Placide.
  • Leave the church no matter which route you took and you’ll have a very important scene with Johnny Silverhand.
  • Carefully choose your words here, as it will affect your relationship with Johnny and what ending you get.

After the conversation with Johnny ends, the “Transmission” mission will be over and you’ll get your experience rewards. If you want to tackle the Phantom Liberty DLC next, hop into a car and start driving around, and you’ll quickly get a call to start the expansion.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
