A new Crunchyroll TV channel will appear first on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel, and VIZIO WatchFree+. It will air anime 24/7, which includes shows in the English dub. It will continue to roll out new shows (as in shows that are not part of its launch titles), as well as themed programming blocks.
Here are some of the featured series that will air on the Crunchyroll TV channel:
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest
- Code Geass
- Horimiya
- Moriarty the Patriot
- PSYCHO-PASS
- Ranking of Kings
- Sugar Apple Fairytale
- To Your Eternity
The above shows are available in English. There will be other shows as well. The Crunchyroll channel is free, but it uses ads to support it. This makes it very similar to the old format of Crunchyroll, which allowed users to watch anime for free even without an account, though you had to deal with ads. Newer shows will likely not appear on the channel until later.
As of 2022, over 120 million Crunchyroll users (with 12 million of them paying) use the service. Some of them were Funimation users, which Crunchyroll merged with following Sony acquiring the company.
The Crunchyroll channel is now available on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel, and VIZIO WatchFree+. As well, this is a reminder that US customers are eligible for payment from Crunchyroll as the result of a class action lawsuit.
