Viz Media has unveiled the cover for the upcoming release of the Fist of the North Star, Volume One hardcover. The cover features the story’s protagonist, Kenshiro, who is established in the story as the sole heir to a form of martial arts called the Hokuto Shinken. This volume will be the first time Fist of the North Star has been collected in English. The anime, however, has already been released in English in its entirety.
Fist of the North Star is a shonen manga written by Buronson. In it, Buronson tells the story of a roaming martial artist who searches an apocalyptic wasteland for the woman he loves. Viz Media is publishing it the Viz Sig label, which is generally reserved for mature titles like Black Lagoon.
The first volume hardcover of Fist of the North Star is set to release on June 15, 2021 and will feature illustrations by Tetsuo Hara. It is currently available to pre-order via Amazon for $17.99.
The Fist of the North Star recently hit a milestone with the 10th anniversary of the Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage series. A mobile version of Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 was released in Japan for Android and iOS mobile devices to celebrate the occasion.
