Could We See a 6-Month Delay Before The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered PC?

Naughty Dog’s latest remaster made fans very happy on the PS5. Although some fans, of course, are wondering when or if they’ll be able to play The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PC. Well, there’s no confirmation of any port.

While Naughty Dog has yet to reveal a PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, there are reasons to believe it’s inevitable. There’s been a trend of Sony PS5 exclusives making their way to the PC after a bit of time. Games like Ratchet & Clank, God of War, and even Naughty Dog’s own The Last of Us Part 1 showed up on the platform.

So it’s safe to assume we’ll likely get it at some point, but when?

When can we expect The Last of Us Part 2 on PC?

The Last of Us Part 1 released on the PS5 in September 2022. The game released for the PC in March 2023. This six month gap is similar to other games’ release schedules on PC. It’s safe to assume that The Last of Us Part 2 will, at the very least, take six months to make its way to PC.

However, the PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 had some issues. Naughty Dog seems to be taking a lot of feedback from that release and applying it forward. For example, they released The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered as an upgrade after criticism about the prior games price point.

Therefore, I think they’ll put a little more time into this PC port. I do think it’s a matter of when not if, but I think it’ll be more than six months this time. Not much longer though, as I feel like Fall 2024 feels like a good release window. However, we really won’t know until Naughty Dog weighs in.

The Last of Us II Remastered is available exclusively on the PS5.
