CoroCoro Comic is teasing something new for Switch that is said to be the next big thing to follow Splatoon 2 and Fortnite. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Details for the new Switch game are scarce for now but we got a few quotes from the CoroCoro issue. The first says that this new mystery game will be “the creation of a super epic action game that follows Splatoon and Fortnite”.
It also says that the game will push the Switch’s performance to its limits in order to bring us this new world. In the game, we’ll see things like battles taking place by skyscrapers in the middle of a peaceful city. A manga has already been confirmed for the game as well.
Ryokutya describes a key visual from the magazine as a young man and a mysterious monster standing in a city that looks like New York.
It’s also worth noting that CoroCoro Comic is geared towards kids so we can expect this title to be the same. Furthermore, CoroCoro likes to over-hype their teasers as we’ve seen with Splatoon 2‘s “shocking” announcement. That said, we’ll be sure to keep our excitement in check for now, but for now, we’ll look forward to getting its first look.
The developer is still unknown but the game itself will release in Japan sometime in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.
