A Corgi Minion will be among the additions in FFXIV patch 6.3. Now, people can see how the dog will look in-game before its official debut. Square Enix shared a YouTube Shorts video of the new animal ahead of launch.
Here’s the first FFXIV Corgi Minion footage. It starts with the dog standing up, before it goes into a “sploot.” The footage shows it from the front and back. After that, we see what it would look like running after a Warrior of Light.
We don’t know the official name for this new Corgi Minion that will appear in FFXIV patch 6.3. The YouTube Short doesn’t feature a name for it. Also, while the special site is open, it only generally mentioned new minions while also talking about additional emotes and mounts being added. This means we also don’t know how to acquire it yet.
However, we did already know that this particular FFXIV minion would be on the way. Back in October 2022 during the 8th 14-Hour Broadcast, the Corgi Minion was confirmed. However, at that point only a teaser showing its concept art showed up.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Patch 6.3 will launch on January 10, 2023.
