The Colorful Interloper Is An Attempt To Simplify The RTS

Recommended Videos

Monogon Games’ aim with Interloper is to shed all of the baggage which comes with a traditional RTS (real-time strategy) title, and produce an experience where each match takes five minutes or less to complete.

Gone are the base building and resource management elements, and in its place are the ability to grow and upgrade units over time. Players become stronger by claiming the domains of their opponents and spreading their sphere of influence over the map.

Interloper started out as a hobby project titled Aril before the development team decided to overhaul the entire game with a more captivating art style and a new code base. A recently-released gameplay video indicates that there will be an open beta sometime in fall 2014.
