A Closer Look At Pokémon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire’s Mega Evolutions

The Pokémon Company has shared additional assets and information for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s newly-revealed Mega Evolved Pokémon, as well as the Cosplay Pikachu that you can find in the game. You can find screenshots and information for these Pokémon below.

Shiny Beldum/Metang/Metagross:

Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’ Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. It also sees a great increase to its Speed state, as well as increases to Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defense.

Mega Altaria (Dragon/Fairy):

 

Mega Altaria has the ability Pixilate, which changes Normal Moves into Fairy-type. Upon Mega Evolving, it receives big boosts to Attack and Special Attack, and an increase to its Defense stat as well.

 

Mega Salamence (Dragon/Flying):

Mega Evolution provides a large boost to Salamence’s Defense stat, and it receives the Aerilate Ability, which turns Normal-type moves into Flying-type moves.

 

Mega Lopunny (Normal/Fighting):

Upon Mega Evolving, it receives the ability Scrappy, which makes Ghost-type Pokémon vulnerable to its Normal and Fighting-type moves. Mega Lopunny receives a big boost to Attack and an increase to its Speed stat as well.

 

Cosplay Pikachu in Battle:

Pikachu Rock Star – Can learn Steel-type move Meteor Mash

Pikachu Ph.D. – Can learn the Electric-type move Electric Terrain

Pikachu Pop Star – Can learn Fairy-type move Draining Kiss

Pikachu Belle – Can learn the Ice-type move Icicle Crash

Pikachu Libre – Can learn Flying Press, a powerful Fighting-type move

 

 

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be available on November 21st in North America and November 26th in Europe.
