Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski recently opened a new studio, dubbed “Boss Key Productions,” along with former colleague, Arjan Brussee, according to a Polygon report published yesterday. Years ago, Bleszinski and Brussee developed the Jazz Jackrabbit games together.

This morning, Boss Key announced its first game—a free-to-play, sci-fi arena arena shooter for PC being developed in collaboration with Nexon. The game is codenamed Blue Streak.

In a tweet following the announcement, Bleszinski stated: “And no, there won’t be a fake CG trailer showing ‘Gameplay’ because that’s not how @bosskey does it.”

Bleszinski also said that he will answer questions regarding Blue Streak tomorrow, July 9th, at 5:30 pm EST, including why it’s on PC, why it’s free-to-play, and why Boss Key partnered with Nexon.
